Biography
James May has returned to
his hometown in Pennsylvania after completing seven years of
service as an officer in the United States Army. A native
of Falls, the state of Pennsylvania has always been his
home. Throughout his military assignments around the
world, he has remained actively involved in the
117th District.
An honest and
devoted leader, James May will be a strong advocate for
conservative principles for the region. He believes that
real world experience--outside the field of politics--is
necessary to address real world problems in our community.
His roles as both an army officer and a local community
leader have prepared him to effectively advocate for the
region.
James May has consistently fought for traditional American
values. He is an active member of numerous community groups
and charitable organizations. At DeWitt Army Hospital, he
sat on the Ethics Board, the Sexual Assault Review Board,
and the Case Review Committee for Domestic Violence. He was
a mentor with the Partners in Education program for public
schools and established an outreach program for college
students to volunteer with children with disabilities. He
is a recipient of various military honors, to include the
National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism
Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Iraq Expeditionary
Medal.
James and his wife Jill, a
former kindergarten teacher, have three children--James,
Isaiah, and Hannah. In his free time, James enjoys camping
with his family, hunting with his 2 sons, playing & coaching
sports, taking his children on "quick dates with dad", and
spending time with his wife. He has twice completed the Army
10-Miler Race in Washington D.C.
